The Washerwoman | First Edition
Along the wooded, rocky banks of Cloven's mightiest river, under storm cloud laden skies met with a spirited chill in the air, per chance, you may find yourself in the presence of a peculiar being.
A being of both myth and truth. One of deep human emotion and man's darkest fears.
She is truly a sight to behold.
Wide, dark abysmal eyes, made darker still by her pale water-worn skin - dappled with drops of muddied red - raven-haired tendrils - forever soaked with water from her washing - and thin violet lips, seemingly frozen without a single tender sentiment.
Many would say to stumble upon the washerwoman while she tends to her fate, is ill fortune if ever there was such a superstitious notion.
For the duty of cleansing the soiled & bloodied cloth of any fallen soul, should never be a fortunate one.
Furthering the apprehension that belies her, she possesses the unmistakable cry of a million men in battle, the sorrowful scream of a heart in mourning, a cryptic shriek of avenging fury ... a death rattle of ancient darkness.
Those few whom have seen & heard her, living to tell, affirm that you will never be the same.
Eternally transformed by the strange, lightless creature, turning the river red and shattering the heavens with her piercing warrior song.
Strands of chunky hand crocheted yarn resemble much the stormy, crimson stained river banks where the Washerwoman can be found.
Dark charcoal, pale watery gray and hints of soft coral red are it's matrix.
The yarn has a rustic look and soft hand ... and will continue to soften with wear.
The scarf itself measures 5-1/4" wide x 71" long.
The fringe, which will fray intentionally over time, is approx. 6" long.
This Storyteller scarf can be both machine washed cold and dried ... however we do recommend using a delicates bag to do so.
