She dwells alone.
The sole inhabitant of a tiny, forested island presumed to be a portal to another world.
She foresees journeys not yet come to pass.
She is the embodiment of the wind and storms with her monstrous wings and feet of claw-like talons.
She is the Dark. The swift bird of prey.
She is the Harpy.
She leaves the island only when she deems it and is seen only by those meant to ...
Since it is said to see her is to lose yourself, as those who do are, themselves, never seen again ~ Though not in her habit, it is still buried deep in her nature to uphold honor and dispense with the miscreants.
What little bit is known of her - or thought to be true - has been passed down thru story & song … For all we mortals know, there is but a ghost of a myth residing on that island ...
Or perhaps the next time you spy the dried autumn leaves scatter and spiral wildly across the ground or hear the undeniable beating of great feathered limbs overhead...
Some stories are best left believed.

The ode to the Harpy lies within dark crystals wrapped in tendrils of antiqued brass, raw Black Tourmaline and a cast talon.
The body of the necklace is made up of bits of a vintage black wood rosary and stations of earthy hued glass beads.
The necklace measures 27.5" long including the lobster claw clasp. The talon measures 1.75" long.
All hand-wiring is antiqued brass. The crystals have been given a black + titanium finish, which lends a "rainbow in the dark" feel - please be aware the finish may wear over time.
