Like any other society, Cloven has it's end of familial burial grounds and ceremonial tombs, scattered across our vast lands.
Some are edged with plentiful greens, intricate iron gates and offerings of faraway blossoms and privy tokens.
Yet others seem to have been left at the mercy of the elements, all but forgotten, save for the few souls that journey their paths, in quiet remembrance and unspoken distinction.
Lorincroft is one such of the latter.
Along an aging, knotty trace, secreted behind a cluster of mighty oak trees, lies the humble, overgrown field, it's only decoration the occasional wildflower or lonesome crow.
With the majority of it's headstones weathered down to mere ghosts themselves and the overwhelmingly quiet seclusion, any visitor, without memory of a loved one's grave, must truly appreciate Lorincroft simply for what it is … A place of rest and of peace.
An ode to Lorincroft lies within strands of soft, varied stitch hand-crocheted yarn.
Black, taupe, earthen brown and stone gray are it's matrix, while silver sparks conjure thoughts of the mica in the cemetery's granite markers and the glint of those blackbirds' eyes.
The scarf itself measures 3" wide x 92" long.
The fringe is 9.5" long.
This Storyteller design should be hand washed cold, excess water gently expressed and laid flat to dry.
