Another tale from our dear friend & favorite hobgoblin, Luparye Bogillis.
Deep within the heart of the forest, along a swampy path, you will find the fallen remains of a grand old tree.
It's trunk, long ago hollowed by the elements and creatures of the wood, now serves a different purpose.
The bravest of souls may hunch down, step inside and walk the length of the massive trunk, to find the first entrance to Luparye's sanctuary.
Ancient roots weave their way through the soil, acting as stairs that will bring you deeper still, to a labyrinth, that once mastered, will take you to a solid oaken door.
Once inside, Lu's home opens into what can only be described as another world.
Mosses, lichen and string-like roots hang and drape from ceiling to darkened corner and creep along the walls.
Gnarled fingers and arms of an underground branch system cradle books and pictures like living framework.
An eternal loamy aroma tinged by incense and wood clings to the earth-warmed air.
A rustic cupboard, utilizing the natural shelves that could only be crafted by time itself, holds a cache of Lu's guilty pleasure - personally harvested wildflower honey.
The rest of the space showcases the many trinkets and puzzles that he has collected over his three-hundred and fifty-six years journeying to the more arcane haunts of the world.
So if ever you find yourself invited to Lu's place, make sure to carve out plenty of time to fully absorb every bit of the supernatural surroundings.
An ode to Lu's rustic home lies within strands of soft, multi-hued hand-crocheted yarn.
Navy blue, sage green, rust, apricot and a hint of earthen garnet are it's matrix.
The yarn has a rustic look and a soft hand ... and will continue to soften with wear.
The scarf itself measures 4.5" wide x 66" long.
This Storyteller scarf can be both machine washed warm and dried ... however we do recommend using a delicates bag to do so. Of course, hand-washing is always an option as well - cold water wash, lay flat to dry.
